Evidence of Work
This website update isn't on a project. We had to learn about the smallest, and most important species in our world. Algae and microorganisms. Previously I had no idea the importance of these living things and that the existed all around us. I also had no clue that there were so many different types of them too. I thought it was really fascinating that these animals are so closely related to plants, do the same things as plants, and still are not classified as plants. Such as diatoms, cyanobacteria, radiolarians, bacteria, foraminerfans, dinoflaggelates, phaeophyta, rhodophyta, and chlorophyta. These organism are so tiny that they look like tiny specs of dirt or nothing at all! They can be seen with detail with a microscope. I thought that part of this unit was fun looking at them with microscopes.
Reflection
Even though this wasn't a project, I still found it very interesting learning about microorganisms. It's fascinating that these animals exist, when we don't even see them! They are behind the scenes in our world, and do so much things I never thought they did. Such as the portion of oxygen they produce, being a massive part of the food chain and marine ecosystem. I think I worked hard on filling out the above chart with as much information as I could. This "project" was really fun.
